What an interesting project! I am very interested in how you applied so many standards to this bilingual lesson. It has a very authentic assessment. I am interested in how you applied the knowledge of viewpoints of people in other countries. Is this something you find easy to do in your lessons? Are there opportunities to use assistive technology in this lesson?

This is definitely a project that will get students involved and wanting to learn with Spanish and Art. It gives them choices on tools to use and even the process to complete the project which will automatically engage each learner.

Jamey you had a great lesson. I really love that your lesson was multi disciplinary. I like that you used Quizlet in a way that is a higher level of learning. I actually think that Quizlet is great for a Spanish lesson, since Spanish is not the first language of many of your students. I think that your final product was very authentic. I’m sure that the students enjoyed producing their own works of art. I see from your screencast that your students post in Spanish. Do you use any type of assessment for their posting and if so what do you use?

I really like your lesson. I especially like how you seem to accommodate a variety of learning styles in the lesson. The techniques you have chosen to differentiate and encourage collaboration are great and should really help these kids move to an advance level of learning. Since I know that most kids don’t push themselves a Spanish III level I would assume that you have some very bright students in that class. Do you find that technology is easier with your higher level students? I was surprised that mine were not more advanced in this category than my regular students.
